A path that started in İzmir

Dr. H. Seçkin Öksar was born in 1967 in İzmir and completed his secondary education at Saint Joseph French High School there — which is why French, alongside English, is a language he still uses with patients today.

He graduated from Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine in 1992 and went on to complete his training in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Akdeniz University. On completing the programme he became a Board Certified Aesthetic, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon in 1999.

He then continued in the speciality at Antalya State Hospital for seven years, until April 2007. During his years at Akdeniz University he completed a number of experimental and clinical research projects that were, at the time, new concepts in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery.

One clinic, since 2000

In parallel with his hospital years he began to build the private practice he still works in today: Seçkin Öksar Aesthetic and Plastic Surgery, in Lara, at the centre of Antalya. Consultation, planning, surgery and follow-up are carried out by him personally.

How he works

The first consultation is a conversation, not a sales meeting. Your medical history is reviewed, your goal is examined against your anatomy, and the options — including the option of doing nothing — are set out with their risks. Where a request cannot be met safely or would not produce what the patient is imagining, that is said plainly.

Reading material about the procedures under consideration is provided, so that the decision is made with time and information rather than under pressure.
