Body Skin Care
Cellulite is not one condition, and that is why single-solution promises rarely hold. Treatment starts by identifying which type you have — and by being clear about what can and cannot be changed.
At a glance
How it is performed
Assessment distinguishes the common patterns — diet-related, hard, circulatory, hormonal or menopause-related, lymphatic and genetic cellulite — because each responds differently and to different combinations.
Programmes combine manual lymphatic drainage with targeted therapy, and are planned as a course. Lymphatic drainage is also used after liposuction and body contouring, where it helps swelling settle faster.
Genetic and hard cellulite improve in texture but do not disappear; where the underlying issue is loose skin or localised fat, the honest answer is a surgical one and you will be told that at consultation.
Who is it for
- Cellulite related to diet, circulation, hormonal change or lifestyle.
- Hard, long-standing cellulite where expectations must be set carefully.
- Fluid retention and heaviness in the legs, for lymphatic drainage.
- Patients recovering from body contouring surgery, where drainage supports healing.

Recovery timeline
- Session day
No downtime; mild redness or warmth in the treated area.
- Weeks 2–4
Skin texture and heaviness improve through the course.
- Month 3
Full effect of a completed programme.
- Maintenance
Periodic sessions plus stable weight preserve the result.
Risks & honest expectations
- Temporary redness or tenderness of the treated area.
- Small bruises after vigorous manual work.
- Unrealistic expectations are the main risk: no non-surgical programme removes established fat deposits or tightens hanging skin.

Questions about this procedure
Will cellulite disappear completely?
No. Texture, circulation and heaviness improve; the underlying architecture of the skin is not rebuilt by a course of treatments.
Is it useful after liposuction?
Yes — lymphatic drainage is routinely used after body contouring to help swelling resolve.
What if my real problem is loose skin?
Then you will be told that treatment is not the answer and which operation is.
