How it is performed
Treatment is with injectable hyaluronic acid fillers, placed to restore the border, the body of the lip, or both. The product range changes constantly; the choice is individualised to give a safe and effective result rather than to follow a trend.
The aim in this clinic is definition and proportion, not volume for its own sake. Small amounts, reviewed after two weeks, produce a result that reads as a good mouth rather than as treatment.
Topical anaesthetic cream is applied beforehand. Cold compresses afterwards reduce swelling, which is at its most obvious on the first day and settles quickly.

Recovery timeline

The filler is gradually absorbed; treatment can be repeated.

- Swelling and bruising for a day or two.
- Asymmetry, which can usually be corrected at the review appointment.
- Lumps or irregularity — uncommon, and treatable.
- Rare vascular complications; this is why injections must be performed by a qualified doctor.

Is it permanent?
No. Hyaluronic acid fillers are absorbed over six to twelve months, which also means an unwanted result is not permanent.
Will it look overdone?
Not if it is planned around your proportions. Conservative amounts and a review appointment are the safeguard.
Can it be combined with other treatments?
Yes — lip treatment is often part of a wider plan with botulinum toxin and medical skin care.
